The Devil's Box is a new contra and square dance band featuring double fiddles and a driving rhythm section.

It features southern fiddle tunes but spices up the mix with tunes from French Canada, Sweden, France and anywhere else from "south of the north pole".

Devil's box contains the veteran dance musicians: Harry Bolick and Brian Slattery on fiddles, Jim Garber on guitar, Joe DePaolo on drums and Pat Schories on bass. Brian, Jim and Pat have played on recording projects with Harry.

Conservative churches have long referred to the fiddle as the "Devil's Box" associating it with the evils of dancing, music, drink and romance. Hmm, sounds good to us!
